  1. Speaking of something not covered often in wargaming, I for one, would not mind seeing my country represented a little more.....how about the battle of the Scheldt or something Canadian? Love to see the good old Canadian first army in action! Go Leafs!....I mean Canada!
  2. Hi Hubert, No worries I actually just started over so I deleted the save but it seemed to keep happening after Gibraltar was captured. If I see it again I will make sure to keep the save. Yeah that was a great game! I got worried after Edmonton opened up quickly but we got the 2 points. I dont think we will win the cup but I think the playoffs are within reach. Lets hope we just dont play Boston in the first round
  3. I am currently playing an Allied campaign against the AI and for some reason in April of 1941 the AI/game hangs up on me when the AI is doing land reorg. I tried playing from several saves back to see if that would fix the problem but no dice. It seems to always happen after the Axis AI has taken Gibraltar (Spain joined the Axis). If anyone has any input on this matter I would be very greatful. Thanks again in advance. Ben GO LEAFS!
  4. Looking for a game of SOE WW2. I will take either side or do a mirror match. Shoot me a PM if interested. Cheers.
  5. Thanks alot Bill. I greatly appreciate the help. I did honor the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact so it sounds like I need no more than 5 units within 3 tiles of these locations for rough numbers. If I follow the above, may i still stuff as many German units as i like along the actual border as long as they are outside that three tile limit? Or will this also cause Stalin to get a little jumpy? Thanks again for the help in advance.
  6. First off this is a fantastic addition and I want to thank all of the people responsible for making this scenario happen. I have a quick question regarding the Soviet entry level and Axis troop placements along the Soviet border. I have read the manual/guide which mentions that deployment of x amount of units close to certain regions/cities will avoid rapid Soviet entry levels. Can anyone please provide more information on the exact amount of tiles that these units need to be in range of? I am having issues with controlling the Soviets level of entry and they are preping for war rather quickly in my campaign. If any of the Storm over Europe experts/beta testers could throw up a small post, possibly with a pic or two, about how to control this I would be forever in yoru debt. Best regards.
  7. Hi Cantona, Well its good to know I was not seeing things. I have been busy so I have not had the chance to try the 1.6 but I see the 1.7 is up so I will take that one for a spin when I get a chance in the coming days. I see you have made an adjustment with Switzerland. I am not sure if I mentioned it in the past but every game I played they entered on the Axis side without any diplomatic investment. i am not sure if this is due to successful Axis advancement or not. Anyway I am looking forward to trying 1.7 cheers. Ben
  8. Cantona, I have never made a custom campaign before and I was wondering if you have to make changes in order for it to be PBEM? Not sure if you are interested or not but I have some feedback on my 1.5 campaign for you. Its a really fun scenario and I have probably spent too much time playing it. I am just an average player so take it for what its worth. - I still find the Russians to be too much of a push over even with the experience bonus you recommended and again I am just an average player well bellow "legend" status. -Lenningrad and Moscow were easily captured by the end of summer 1941. -Stalingrad fell in November of 1941 - I think the Russians need to be beefed up a lot or the Germans toned down a little in order to obtain that nail biting experience - I am not sure what it is but North Africa seems to be way to easy to dominate still. The British and Commonwealth forces basically line up one tile away from Tobruk and sit there while Tac Air and friends pick them off one by one. When they decide to fight a little they do so under strength. - For the life of me I still cant get France to surrender before mid to late July which I guess is fine given the above notes - I am not sure about your experiences but when Barbarossa starts I look at the boarder and get the impression that the invasion will be some what reminiscent of going hunting at the zoo. I am not sure if the problem is the amount of units the Germans can produce, their income or a combination of both. -it seems Britains NM is a little better off this version but i am not sure what it will look like in 1942. Anyway its a lot of fun and I thought I would throw you my two pennies. Cheers. Ben.
  9. My apologies Cantona I should of saved the turn for you. I was also wondering if you have tried this scenario/mod in a PBEM match? I would be interested to know how it went as I would love to try it out if its an option.
  10. Hmmm I am pretty sure It asked me twice if I would like to intensify the build up for Norway because the repeat of the DE happened on the same turn as the DE for the actual invasion and the two DE options were back to back....Im sober honest.
  11. Cantona, Just a quick note. I am playing through my first run of 1.5 and I noticed you have the Norway invasion build up DE in there twice.
  12. Cantona, Thank you for the answers. I am going to start a campaign with +50% and +1 bonus to test it out. I think the adjustment to NM would be good as Englands NM is almost wiped out in 42. I was also wondering if you were able to conquer France by the historical date? Even with a very aggresive Maginot line strategy i can only get them to fall in July and that is without the +1 experience bonus. Regarding the USSR: at +50% bonus i was able to take Lenningrad, Moscow and Stalingrad in that order by Oct 19 1941. After the Soviet winter event which took place in Jan 42 I was driving to their relocated Capital in the Urals when their NM hit 0 when i was 3 tiles from their capital. this forced the old boarders and all of my units were returned to Poland while a hand full that were driving into the south were forced into the middle east which made taking Cairo a piece of cake. After that their NM rapidly increased back up to 66% by the early summer of 42. Durring this time England surrendered and I stopped the campaign. No worries on the Axis AI. i also play as the axis mostly for the challenge, I just wasnt sure if the Axis AI was present or not. thanks again and its an excellent mod. Ben.
  13. Hi Cantona, couple questions: I had the Soviets surrender on March 22 1942. After the surrender they gain back a fair majority of their territory. I also noticed their NM creeps up again. Do you end up having to fight them again? A couple months after that i had the UK surrender due to the lack of effort in North Africa etc. so i did not continue on to see if the Soviets reactivate. It seems to me that the UK NM falls too quickly and I had them also withdrawl from the war without London captured. I would recommend making an adjustment to keep them in the war especially after the U.S has entered if they hold all of their homeland. Do you have a recommended difficulty setting? I finished my first full campaign on +50% and was wondering what you play tested the campaign on? Is it possible to play an Allied campaign? I tried a few turns but noticed Germany does not garrison the Siegfried Line at all so i was not sure if this is an Axis campaign only. Thanks again. Ben.
  14. Hi Cantona, Thank you for your answers and no worries on the reply. I think its a fantastic mod and i have played all of your others for earlier SC games. The larger size is what gets me hooked. My only suggestion for future releases would be a small point form read me file with the little things that may be of interest. I know time is short but it would really come in handy especially with a new engine. Cheers. Ben
