  1. Hi, isnt it possible to create a programm like a common messenger with abilitys to send and recive automaticaly files? Maybe as implementation for icq or other programms?
  2. I dont think that its only an age thing....i´m playing roundbased games since i drink beer... but must confess, its hard to get back after you played such "Hollywood" styled games like Soldiers or Rome, even if the game system are crap. And also i think, CM is more missing than only stunning graphics. If CM:X will not include a Grand Campaign, and/or individual modelled soldiers, i have problems and im tired to play a chess like tank simulation anymore. Its still a great work for such a small companie, but i doubt, they can come close in Grafic and Sound performance like named Titels.
  3. I like the Water effects...nearly as good like in Far Cry... Maybe the sky needs some work...
  4. I like those "Stummels" from CMBO times....especially on the defense...drived some opponents crazy wile buying 6-7 of thems... the most you hear "Hell, they are everywhere.."...
  5. Oh... please, can someone put this into the general Forum? My eyes start bleeding....
  6. From where you get this? The mobile foxhole wasnt invented befor postwar, or? Soldiers/crews do shooting at Targets who they can kill/destroy and not at every Tank on the Field. What do you think about War? Thats not a wish fest for armchair generals. You are there to fight and possible to die...thats it. Again, if you leave your unharmed Tank in a Battle, you are a deserter and get killed for it. Your example with the soldiers who doesnt want to stay near a tank resulted in the common practice the Germans (Maybe other nations too) tried to get rid off the tank surounding inf. with shooting He rounds at those Tanks. Real effective.
  7. @Vixen The landing on the Moon wasn`t it either...
  8. Sure, those things happend, but a vet or an experienced crew would not leave an "untouched" Tank. Not to mention, that you get shot by your own Men for deserting. I mean, what can be saver on a Battlefield like a Tank?? If you bail out, you are then not only a Traget for the ennemy Tank, no, you are then also a Target for anything that can shot at you, including Arty. And the terrain around a Tank is mostly open and not the best to give you cover. I say, if the Tank is able to move, no one would leave him without a emergency situation.
  9. I was thinking we discuss advantages/disadvantages from the real ones. In Game therms, the über/ situation from the 80mm Stugs resulted in the fact, that the current CMBB engine cant handle so many different surfaces in one single front armor. So we have to life with the overall 80mm. Dont underestimate weak spot pennetrations or gun damage, in one of my last CMBB QB i lost all of my 4 JPanthers due to Gun damage in a couple of turns.
  10. @Yankee It was more a Metapher....What i hade in mind, the Stugs were build to give a small Target...not jumping around to avoid the bullets You have to stay on the carpet... "4-5 T-34...." this doesnt shed light one how the Stug perform....against singel, standard opponents.. And those flanking ideas always implement that you have more Stuff than your ennemy... I`m with Mr. Tittles on the highly sloped parts... hard to defeat or better, the round first needs to get grip on the surface... One question i have: The 80/0 surface is relativ small, doesnt it resist more compared to bigger armor plates like the one on the Panther glacis?
  11. Aehem... the strengts of the Stug was more to avoid the Bullets insteed to stop them. @yankee A group of well defending Stugs would give you headaches, no matter if you attack with T-34/85 or else.
  12. Thats why the Landser called thems "Stuka on feet"...
  13. A real good site. I learned something new like: " The antitank rifle modified into a grenade discharger." Prior to the Russian campaign, the Germans had issued a company antitank weapon—the 7.9-mm antitank rifle. But after the Russian campaign had got under way, the Germans began to convert this weapon into a grenade launcher which could fire hollow-charge antitank grenades.
  14. What does it mean: "The gun has direct sights to 1,500 meters"?
  15. Since my first minutes of cm playing, i wished that the defender gets more Ammo as the attacker. Can`t life with the 50 rounds equipet 3,7cm or comparable at-guns.
