Battlefront Repository
For the G variant of the Panther experiences from the Kursk battle were taken into account. Improvements included stronger commander cupolas, rainguards on the gun mantlet, zimmerit anti magnetic mine paste and a simplified and strengthened hull. While sharing basically the same engine as the Tiger, the Panther could handle better rough terrains, the tradeoff was weaker side armor, and resulted not very adequate for close-quarters combat. The HE shells were not as deadly against infantry as the ones from the Tiger. The weight of this beast was some 48 tonnes (72! In the Tiger). The Panther was the third most produced German armored fighting vehicle. Decals for 2 Units included and a "Schurzen removed" variant added.
