Help with IP address

Do you BOTH have TCP Port 7023 open in your firewall/modem/router ? This port may not be generically open and that would prevent connecting to an opponent. Software firewall (security software), Windows firewall and your modem/router/firewall can all block this port. You may also need to setup your modem/router to 'port forward' the TCP 7023 port to your particular IP address (for both opponents) or it may not direct the traffic to the proper computer (or at all).

When you say that you have the correct IP addresses and not the "generic broadband ones", then the IP addresses you're handing out is NOT in the form of 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x, correct ?
