imij0607
I'm considering purchasing CMBN for a friend of mine as an early bday present...seeing as how were both strategy game buffs, figured it would be a cool give since he upgraded his system. Question: if I start a quick battle, and then save the file after deployment can I email him that file so we could almost do a co-op game against the AI by passing the file back and forth?
stoex
Yes, that is possible. Slow, but possible . Be aware that saved games can be very large, as in up to 40MB in certain cases (large map, many units, campaigns).
imij0607
Ahh very cool - thanks stoex - this will be very cool. my brother is moving to the other side of the state so visits will be tough - CMBN is more than just a game, it's a way of keeping in touch sometimes =). cheers!
A Canadian Cat
<snip> Question: if I start a quick battle, and then save the file after deployment can I email him that file so we could almost do a co-op game against the AI by passing the file back and forth? Many of us are using Dropbox and other online file sharing solutions to share Play By EMail files when playing head to head. They will work as well for your cooperative play against the AI. dieseltaylor
H2hHelper has been written specifically for CMBN - but actually works on the the trial games CMSF etc : ) - by GreenAsJade. Send him a message and he will send you a copy. Written for PC and Mac and translated into the main languages. And has a Dropbox functionality if you want.
