monTarakid
...all the gun/vehicle mods? Is it possible it's just not worth the time/effort for our expert modders to make minor upgrades in appearance because the stock efforts by BF are pretty darned good?
Oddball_E8
or could it be a combination of the fact that the modders are busy playing the game and the fact that it takes a while to make a good vehicle/gun mod?
BloodyBucket
I vote for all of the above. The stock vehicles are pretty good and the terrain/sky/GUI mods have a more dramatic impact on the game, so they have rightfully gotten more attention. I'm waiting for some more esoteric mods. How about the one item that's featured in just about every war movie, and was certainly almost universally employed in WWII but isn't in CMBN...where's the cigarette mod?
Earl Grey
O yes, vehicles do take A LOT of time. While doing the StuG textures I was nearly going mad a couple of times - even when teh abse textures had been done nad all I had to do was slap on some camouflage!
Juju
Is it possible it's just not worth the time/effort for our expert modders to make minor upgrades in appearance because the stock efforts by BF are pretty darned good? It's because our expert modders (from CMx1) are very much responsible for the stock textures to begin with, I'm thinking.

MikeyD's working for BFC now, Marco Bergman's been doing stock textures since CMSF, I do stock textures as well. No idea where all the other modders vanished to, but somehow I have a feeling they're all waiting for the Eastern Front...
