Georgie
If I have a squad where some of its members have LOS to an enemy unit and I order my squad to target that enemy unit will the troops of my squad that don't have LOS to that enemy unit seek a position where they do have LOS.
skelley
I have never seen them reposition to get LOF to the enemy. This is something that really needs to be addressed at some point. Maybe have them crawl forward until they can shoot. Even if they stayed still and just fired in the direction of the enemy for suppression purposes would be better than as is.
cool breeze
I think they will move within an action spot or a floor of a building but not beyond.
YankeeDog
I think Cool Breeze has it right -- I've frequently seen soldiers reposition slightly and then open fire, so I assume this reflects an AI routine where a unit tries to get as many men as possible able to fire on a target. But I don't think they'll reposition on their own initiative beyond the current Action Spot that the team occupies. This has particularly important implications for squads, which are usually spread out over 2-3 Action Spots -- if only one team of a squad is in an Action Spot which has LOS to the target, then only that team will be able to open fire, and members of the squad on other teams occupying adjacent Action Spots will not move across an Action Spot border to gain LOF. At least, that's what it looks like to me. I'm not aware of any official word from BFC on this subject.
cool breeze
Yup. Sometimes i think its even worth the risk of stacking guys extra thick if you really need the extra firepower from THAT spot. Like you can do at the edge of a hedge row where the 3 team squad gathers on 2 spots.
