Game won't start

Recommended Posts

What security software (anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-malware, firewall, internet-security) do you have installed ? Some of these programs interfere with eLicense and may need to be either temporarily disabled or possibly uninstalled (in some cases where they are just incompatible).

You may also need to check your DEP (Data Execution Prevention) settings and modify them for CMSF and its modules. Here's our Knowledgebase article on DEP. Not everyone needs to make these changes to their settings, but a number of people do (even with newer versions of Windows). The 'Runservice.exe' file will not exist in your '\Windows' directory until you successfully license a game/module. If making changes to DEP gets the license dialog box to come up, then you may need to add 'Runservice.exe' to your DEP exception list BEFORE starting the game.
