skelley
I had a 2 sqauds of an armored platoon receive heavy mortar fire, leaving 1 squad completely wiped out and the other with 2 soldiers still alive. After that, all units left in the platoon including HTs have been broken but, I can still move them and still target enemy units with them. They are not retreating, nor are they cowering. What's going on here? I just played the next turn and the HQ and the remaining full squad were hit by more arty and went from broken to panic. I thought broken was the worst level of morale.
Flanker15
Broken isn't the same as routed, broken is a permanent status effect that means a unit will drop out of control or rout very quickly if under attack again.

Yep, seen many units like this , and they still fight better than my 'nervous' or 'rattled' troops.
skelley
Thx for the info. Has this changed since CMSF? I don't recall squads that didn't receive a single bullet getting broken because of casualties other squads in the platoon recieved. Seems a little harsh. A drop in morale seems right but not all the way to broken.
guachi
So it's basically the equivalent of the '!' status from CMx1?
