poesel
IMHO the german translation is a bit 'clumsy'. I hope I don't step on anyones foot here but I often stumble over words or sentences that just don't feel right. I normally play in english anyway but this assumes an english keyboard layout which conflicts with a german keyboard. So until I fix the hotkeys for me I'm playing in german. Ok, enough complaining heres my proposal for fixes. Some things are simply wrong other things are purely subjective. Main screen: 'Gefecht' -> 'Szenario' 'Schnellgefecht' -> 'Gefecht' 'Netzwerkspiel beitreten' -> 'Netzwerkspiel' Options: 'Sound' -> 'Ton' 'Texturen' -> 'Textur' 'dann werden "Schneller" und "Schnellste" Einstellungen empfohlen' -> 'dann wird die Einstellung "Schneller" oder "Schnellste" empfohlen' 'Hohe Priorität Laufmodus' -> 'Hohe Priorität' 'Einstellungen an der Grafikkarte' -> 'Einstellungen der Grafikkarte' in the game: B: 'Schnell' -> 'Laufen' 'Eile' -> 'Eilmarsch' 'Bewegen' -> 'Normal' K: 'Ziel Rauch' -> 'Rauch' 'Ziel Leicht' -> 'Leichter Beschuss' or 'Red. Beschuss' ('Reduzierter Beschuss' - this might be too long) S: 'Ausrüstung' -> 'Ausrüsten' or 'Munitionieren' (better but longer) O: 'Teams aufteilen' -> ' Gruppe teilen' 'Angriffsteam' -> 'Angriffstrupp' 'Panzerabwehrteam' -> 'Pz. Abwehrtrupp' 'Späh Gruppe' -> 'Spähtrupp' Menüs: 'Bedingungen' -> 'Wetter' 'Befehle' -> 'Lage' 'Tastaturbefehle' -> 'Hotkeys' (ok, thats english but other than 'Tastaturkürzel' I know no better word and 'Tastaturbefehle' is already longer than its textbox) File save dialog: 'Datei Name' -> 'Dateiname' Thats all I have for now. Thanks for the great game!

LemoN
'Texturen' -> 'Textur' Texturen is the correct term as it's not just one single texture. 'Einstellungen an der Grafikkarte' -> 'Einstellungen der Grafikkarte' Grafikeinstellingen (or Grafik-einstellungen) would be the best term 'Bewegen' -> 'Normal' "Normal" would be an incredibly bad term IMO. It's OK if you actually know that you're talking about movement orders, but Bewegen is the far clearer and better term. 'Ziel Rauch' -> 'Rauch' Bad term as it can't be differentiated from the normal smoke popping. S: 'Ausrüstung' -> 'Ausrüsten' or 'Munitionieren' (better but longer) Keeping in mind the original English term, I'd say "Aufnehmen" although I agree that Munitionieren would be a good term too.
poesel
Texturen is the correct term as it's not just one single texture. Sorry, I left the context - original: '3D Texturen Qualität'. I'm not a linguist but the singular just sounds better to me. Grafikeinstellingen (or Grafik-einstellungen) would be the best term Agree "Normal" would be an incredibly bad term IMO. It's OK if you actually know that you're talking about movement orders, but Bewegen is the far clearer and better term. Its in the "Bewegen" tab so the context is clear. This would avoid using the word twice. Bad term as it can't be differentiated from the normal smoke popping. My bad - I didn't know there was a difference. I can't look up the used translation for 'pop smoke' but I would suggest 'Rauchschirm'. 'Ziel Rauch' could then be 'Rauchgranate' or more precise 'Phosphorgranate'.

Hate to be pedantic but since we are talking correct language here the cliché is "to step on someone's toes"

We germans are more thorough - barely stepping on someones toes does not warrant an apology. You need to squash the complete foot.
