The Evolution of CM

I *really* like the direction CM is going.

The graphics are nice (and quite welcome), but the under-the-hood stuff is where CM shines.

Regardless of difficulty level, players are rewarded for using tactics over "other" techniques. *cough*

Of course the AI can always be improved, but we have a CM now (without all the hi-tech stuff) that forces players to think MUCH more tactically.

Really nice to see the 3rd iteration of CM come as far as it has.

Bulge

OstFront

SF2

That's, what another 5-10yrs?

And it gets better?

Yeah, I really like the vegetation animation now. The demo scenario with the wind blowing through the trees is fantastic. I'm not entirely sold on the textures (trees) though, they seem a bit flat and bland, though by no means bad.

Edit: Isn't Ostfront after CMSF2?
