I'm not sure why you're having this particular problem with a GeForce. I've seen other cards have this problem, but none of the NVidias.

First off I suggest uninstalling your video driver. Once this is done you'll probably have to reboot. Windows XP will then redetect your video card. Assuming that the uninstall went as planned XP will not be able to completely identify your video card and should load up the 'VGASave' driver - a Safe Mode SuperVGA driver that can do 32bit color. If you have a GeForce tweaker utility, you may want to uninstall that too. After this you should now attempt to install the 30.82 drivers for WinXP. Run this installer and hopefully things should be set.

The default for these drivers for FSAA is set to 'application controlled' which generally means that it is off (for CM and almost any game I can think of). Try that setting first to see if things work or if your problem continues.

I also had this problem. I am using the latest Detonator 4 drivers (40.41 I believe). I could not see the movie when loading the game; all I saw was a black screen that sometimes locked up my Windows XP.

To fix the problem, go to Control Panel-Display-Settings-Advanced and look for the tab that controls your Nvidia card. Disable FSAA for DirectX (just like the other guy said). Now run the game again and it should work just fine.

Just wanted to verify that this worked for me - thanks for the help! :D

There is no intro movie. There is a 'splash screen' of the current BFC logo (M-60 tank night firing, exactly like the graphic at the top of the forum) and then the initial menu screen should show up.

I've seen some graphics drivers exhibit problems refreshing the 2D screens properly, but I don't think the the NVidias are having this problem.

Be aware people that if you're using 40.xx drivers that they are BETA and can have problems. Of course the official drivers can have problems too. I would guess that the next official release of the NVidia Detonators are going to have this problem, so I would suggest that you stick to the 30.82's for now, unless you want to figure out all sorts of graphical issues on your own.

OK, I was talking about CMBO, not CMBB.
