Books on Programming, Software Development

Recommended Posts

I am thinking about picking up a few more "classic" books on programming and software development.

Here are two lists to start from:

http://www.chanezon.com/pat/soft_books.html

http://books.theregister.co.uk/classics.asp

I have already:

* The Mythical Man-Month

* Code Complete

* Writing Solid Code

I shall get for sure:

* Peopleware

* Debugging the Development Process

I am thinking about getting:

* The Psychology of Computer Programming

* The Pragmatic Programmer

* The Practice of Programming

Does anybody know any of the latter three? They sound good, but are they redundant?

Any other suggestions?

Best regards,

Thomm
