wlape3 Posted August 17, 2010 Share Posted August 17, 2010 The editor keeps freezing even after I tried some different compatibility modes. The symptoms are, the program gets progressively slower as I add more graphics until it finally freezes. It's not using a lot of CPU time nor is it hogging the hard disk. Running Win7 Ultimate 64 bit Phenom 9600 Quad 4 GB Ram SATA2 Hard drive Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
wlape3 Posted August 19, 2010 Author Share Posted August 19, 2010 Some more information: if I save it periodically, the program goes back to normal after each save and then slowly slows down again. It's like it is flushing a cache of some kind every time it is saved and if I don't save it the cache becomes too full and the program freezes. Hubert Cater Posted August 24, 2010 Share Posted August 24, 2010 Thanks for the report wlape3 and I can say that the Editor does hold some information in memory that is flushed once the campaign is saved, i.e. the undo list and so on. Not sure why it is slowing down as much as it is as this is the first such report but I'll keep an eye out for what might be causing the issue.
