I know this may not be the right place but I need some help..

Well, I downloaded the demo for ToW 2 and it runs laggy.

My setup is ...

ATI Radeon 4670

AMD Athlon 64x Quad Core

2GB Mushkin RAM

Asus MOBO

It should run fine, hell I can run Arma 2 on high settings with great FPS.

Also, I would get a runtime error 3 when trying to launch and I figured out when I first launched the game I changed some settings and checked marked everything. So I deleted some files and left the settings to "Automatic" and now the game is laggy. What gives?

P.S, I am also having issues with CM Strikeforce.

It too lags in loading but is fine in game and I also had some issues with it too.

Are you seeing lag in the campaigns or are you playing any battles or 'battle-generator' generated battles ?

What resolution are you running TOW 2 at and what settings do you have in the 'Configure Theater of War 2' shortcut ? Do you have the 1.3.0 patch installed ? Admittedly it doesn't really speed up the game, but it is probably a good idea to install it anyway if you don't have it already.

Lag is a bit of a common issue with TOW 2 and I don't know the exact cause of it. It's been suggested that some of the lag is due to a lot of LOS, LOF and penetration calcs when there is a lot of units and a lot happening on the screen (especially in some of the campaigns). If you haven't tried the 'battle generator' yet, you may want to check that out and see how battles perform with what you can generate with it.

Everything is high and my res is 13** by something (lol). I think it may be the tutorial, because everything is scripted to happen?

Also, my SF is fine now :P.
