flamingknives
The 2A6 has, that the 2A4 does not: Improved frontal armour (wedge shaped) longer barrelled gun (55 calibre length rather than 44) Improved fire control and sights.
Ryujin
The 2A6 also has: -spall liners -Commander's independent thermal viewer (the commander didn't have thermal on the 2A4, day periscope only).
Damian90
To be more precise. Improved armor protection, this means new better multilayer laminate armor inserts in frontal, side and front hull cavieties + added at turret front empty inside, wedge shaped armor screens on turret front. Turret drives were changed from electro-hydraulics to fully electric. Redesigned hull ammo rack (under glacis plate), it is lowered and takes 5 less rounds, so tank is loaded with not 42 rounds as older variants (before A5 variant was introduced) but with 37 rounds. Reposition of Gunner Primary Sight, now it is not in "window" in front plate, but "window" was closed by welded armor plate, and GPS is higher (still in the same position as in older vehicles)... I hope I wrote this clear enough. :-) GAS or Gunner Auxiliary Sight was removed from gun mantle, it was replaced by video camera placed on gun mantle. TC have new PERI with thermal and day sights, PERI was placed behind his position. There were also some other minor upgrades.
