Lawyer
I have a G400 Max video card and Monster Sound MX300 soundcard. I am having lockups with the Gold demo. It starts fine, but after 10 seconds or so of scrolling around the 3-D battlefield, my system locks. Running CM on a PIII 600 at 672mz with 128RAM. Thanks for any help. ------------------ Res ipsa loquitur
Guest Big Time Software
Check the troubleshooting section at the end of the documentation. A few main tips: 1. Ensure your G400 drivers are up to date. 2. Make sure you've got up to date mouse drivers if you're using an Intellimouse or Logitech mouse. 3. Update to the latest DirectX (7.0a) if you haven't already. Charles
krm
Return your cpu to its normal 'mhz' ige. I had my 450 o/c and it hung, so I reverted it back to normal and all was fine. ------------------ I'm always in the ****, it's only the depth that varies.
GhostOne
Lawyer...Make sure that you use the newest Certified Matrox drivers only. I have a G400 and had problems with the game as I was using the uncertified drivers. When I switched to the Certified everything worked fine. I'm running an overclocked Celeron without problems. Also are your sound and Video cards sharing the same IRQ? Ghost
Maximus
You know, what's ironic to me is that Celerons usually are the ones that have NO problems. I haved a Celeron-433 and it hasn't had any problems with anything so far. Might be the on-board cache memory that other CPUs don't have.
Lawyer
Thanks for your help, guys. The problem seems solved with the full version of CM. I backed off the overclocking to 611mhz and it runs fine with the latest Matrox drivers. Now if I can just stop the mouse pointer on my Kensington Expert mouse from flickering.... ------------------ Res ipsa loquitur
Lawyer
Well, I think I fixed the mouse too with new drivers. ------------------ Res ipsa loquitur
