John Kettler
Brother George was kind enough to inform me of an impressive air museum at March Field, in Riverside, California. Here's the main museum link. http://www.marchfield.org/index.html And here's the aircraft list. http://www.marchfield.org/mfm.htm Given what's in the collection, this seems an ideal time to mention this astounding site. www.acig.org This site is a must visit if you have any interest at all in modern aerial warfare. Here, in the data base, you will find accounts not just of battles that were never reported, but even wars you never heard of, in conflicts ringing the globe. The write-ups are quite detailed, access to insiders seems impressive, and modelers will find many unusual aircraft, helos and paint schemes depicted. It's so groggy there's even a meticulous tally of every plane shot down by the Russians during the Cold War! If you want a sample, please see http://www.acig.org/artman/publish/article_279.shtml Be advised that the background is black and the text green, so you may want to change settings before trying to read the article.
