Problems with Gainward GeForce4 MX 420!?

Hi all,

In my previous topics I got errors messages but

that just typical bug of Wise Installer (CDV). Game can still operate perfectly.

I have downloaded from Gainward support

recommend drivers and BIOS.

- WinME

- MS K7T Turbo 2 Moteherboard (integrated audio disabled)

- BIOS version: 04.17.00.52.00 (Gainward recommends)

- Directx 8.1b

- nvidia 30.82 (tried with diffrent resolution and FSAA settings)

- AMD Athlon 1600+

Has anyone got MX 420 working?

i haven't with older drivers all possible settings but I will also with 40.71

for any help... thanks in advance

I have a MSI GeForce4 MX420 and it runs fine. I'm using the 40.71 drivers. I have FSAA turned on and it runs CMBB perfect. If fact, whatever defaults the 40.71 drivers set up are fine on my card. I didn't have to 'fool' around with any options.

thanks for your reply. Yeah, that doesn't surprise me at all. i just Intalled whole WinME and necessary software to empty HD. Nothing.

Same problem... could it be my mainboard?

I mean intgrate audio? (I don't think so...)

What about CDROM device? I have ASUS CD-S400.

As a secondary master.

Btw. CMBB Demo works perfectly 40.72 drivers w/ FSAA on.

I forgot to mention that I'm still using Windows 98. Maybe that makes a difference. Should have nothing to do with the mainboard. By the way, my CD-Rom is an Artec WRA-WA48 and it's configured as a secondary slave. And I'm also using the integrated sound from the mainboard.
