France Surrender - which units survive?

Hi,

when France surrenders sometimes some units survive if they are not on a france land space. Mostly some ships do survive but I have also seen air or land units that survived in Britain.

Is there an algorithm how much IPC of units survives. Is the probability different if these are land or naval units?

Does it depend if they are in britsh ports or at sea?

Or is it completly random?

The script says the following:

So each unit has a 20% chance of getting transferred to the UK, but I am certain that it only happens to units that are not standing in France itself.
