I'm currently looking to upgrade and was wondering if arty has a nice base I am missing, or the new sound packs have nice, clear sounds to hear. Juju Posted November 16, 2001 Share Posted November 16, 2001 I don't know if you'll get a big advantage seeing as I can't hear what it sounds like for you know, but let me tell you this: I have an okay (but nothiiing special) soundcard (SBlive), with 4 speakers and a Bass booster on the floor, and, man, does it add to the immersion. Turning the volume down is of course an answer but a good set of headphones can really immerse you in the game! A secondary benifit is that you can't hear the phone etc!!
