Breakthrough
I am getting a black screen with a message that says I need at least 800x600 Resolution when my computer is already on that setting. See my last Post.
Schrullenhaft
When the game is first run it will go through a resolution selection process. The screen will be completely black except for some boxes and text in the middle of the screen. However it is possible the CMBB may be attempting to use too high of a refresh rate on your monitor. Therefore you need to make sure that your monitor definition is set properly. The best selection is a monitor definition/driver that matches your monitor exactly. Otherwise a 'Plug and Play' definition should usually work. However it is still possible that the definition allows the video card to utilize higher refresh rates than your monitor can support. The first resolution that CM tries out is your current desktop resolution at the highest refresh rate that the DirectX compatible driver says will work (100, 120+ Hz sometimes). It's possible that your display doesn't work at this resolution and you only see a black screen. I suggest setting your display to the highest refresh rate offered at your current resolution and see how your monitor responds (typically if you don't acknowledge that you can see a dialog box it will return to the previous setting within 15 seconds). The problem may be more than this, but this is a starting point.
