KDS Monitors (o/t)

Recommended Posts

I don't have their 21" monitor, but I do have some of their 19" VS-195/195e's at work. They are typically good monitors for the price. To be honest I've had problems getting warranty service from them in the past though (they have long warranties at least) - they never came by to pickup some monitors that they issued RMA numbers for... TWICE ! (and this was a business address).

Anyway... they are fairly good monitors for the price. I'm not sure who's tubes they're using (possibly Samsung or Hyundai). Admittedly there can be quite a difference in quality between screen sizes since they could be using a completely different tube and manufacturer.

I have a KDS Avitron 15 inch and I love it.

It's the ONLY 15 inch monitor I have found that can do 1024x768 at 85hz.

It will go up to 1280x1024 at 60hz.

The images a crisp, colorful, and brilliant.

It also has an onscreen menu system.

All this for $160 (US) is mighty darn nice.

I had a el-cheapo 17 inch and actually gave it away over the KDS 15 inch.

I'd recommend there montiros to anyone.
