Machine guns: Highs and Lows

Recommended Posts

I've noticed in playing a lot with my test scenarios that the MMG 7.62's tend to fire high like small arms such as the m16's and m4's do. However, the HMG 50 caliber has a much more effective trait of firing low and stitching bullet trails directly into groups of oncoming enemy soldiers. Besides the higher caliber, this tends to be the main reason why Deuce Ma is so much more effective than the MMGs. Is this purposeful? Do the small arms and MMGs share a common firing characteristic in the coding that makes them different from the 50 cal?

This tendency I observed is primarily based on AI fire....where computer is selecting it's own targets (friendly and enemy).
