vcents
This is happening with the full version...when I start the game, the intro music stops but it stutters and even sometimes skips forward. And, I'm noticing (now that I bought headphones) that the battlesounds are doing the same thing (not bad, just at the start). I've tried to see if maybe it is happening when the hardrive is being accessed, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. I have a Soundblaster PCI card (cheapo, at work so I don't know the type)with the most recent drivers. I also turned down (not off) graphics acceleration in 98. I'm stumped...any ideas?
Lorak
vcents, Not sure if this is the problem. But just a thought. Did you do a full install? If not, it may be accessing the cd-rom to play music. This would cause a slow down. vcents
Full and complete...still having the problem. I think I'm going to chalk it up to a crappy soundcard and figure out someway to justify it as a business expense.
Guest mch
My CPU crashed the other day and when I re- installed,It did the same thing. Re-loading my sound card drivers fixed it. Also,Turning down the hardware accel. on Direct X helps too.
