Richtschuetze
Hello Folks: I bought a new graphics adapter (9800 GTX+), installed the latest diver and, voilà, the game doesn't start anymore. Applied all the changed from the FAQ - only to get the same nasty popup again. Can anyone please help me? Richtschuetze
Moon
So, you tried this? http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1103&Itemid=30 If yes, then please check if you have the file "runservice.exe" in your C:\Windows directory. If not, please email elicense@battlefront.com and you'll get further instructions.
Richtschuetze
Yes, I tried all suggested settings - no success. Essentially, I have only changed two parameters of my system: 1. Exchanged the Nvidia 7900 GTX for the Nvidia 9800 GTX+ 2. Updated driver from Forceware 93.71 to 180.84 That's all! Before these two changes the game was working perfectly. Now - even with runservice.exe running - I only get the Runtime Error. I will contact the Elicense guys in hopes they will be able to sort it out. Have a merry Xmas and a good start into the Year of the Crisis, R.
KiloAlpha4
....usually happens when switching a vid card and drivers. Try deleting the game's config file from the game itself as it has stored your old card and driver/settings etc in it. Once you start the game it will auto detect the new card etc and should work np. If not delete it again reboot then launch the game. This almost always works in this situation. If it doesn't, just reinstall the game and it will work.
