Just what major media used the term "state of the art high speed boat"?

This isn't a case where you decided they were cool cigarette boats like in Miami Vice, and when it turned out they weren't, it was easier to blame a reporter than admit that you had hoodwinked yourself.

I know one thing for sure, the standard term used in practically all the news reports on this thing was "motor boat." 'Matter of fact, the first time I saw "cigarette boat" vis. the Somali pirates was when you speculated about one. You're not shooting the messenger here, are you?

good catch - looking via Google, it seems John has added weasel words to the reports and then quoted them to challenge them - escutcheon abuse - they have pills for that...

Google shows only two links using this term - about a boat Called Eco Time in the Bahamas...

We call that a Bass boat or a John Boat around here, and it is stored on a trailer in your backyard under a tarp, and is often deployed from locations many miles from any shore.

The big boat looks like a lifeboat, no doubt removed from a hijacked vessel.
