Baron Ritzner Von Jung
How do you face a direction with your front armor while targeting another one with your gun ? The old "rotate" + "cover arc " . I'm talking "WeGo " and without having to wait the whole minute to reissue another order . Thanks a lot ! SGT_56M
The unit will typically face which ever direction it was last moving in. The arc will face the turret to the center of the arc. A series of waypoints right at the end of a longer movement order tends to get my units into position perfectly. Also, make those last movement orders slow or "move", that tends to help keep the TACAI from getting all "smart" on you.
Cameroon
I know what you're talking about Baron, and I think SGT_56M's suggestion is the best way to do it given that you can't change the facing now if there's a cover arc in place.
Baron Ritzner Von Jung
Thanks a lot for your answers guys ! So if you are already in position (defending ) , the only way to achieve this would be to move your tank , is that correct ?
Cameroon
In a single turn, yes. The Face command is disabled when there's a covered arc in place, which makes sense unless you have a turret. Not such a big deal in RT, but it would definitely be sub-optimal in WEGO. It'd be nice if that could be changed to recognize turreted vehicles and allow the Face and Covered Arc commands to be active at the same time for them.
