chanceisbest
I saw this topic on the posts but could not find an answer. Whenever I start the CMSF Demo I get through the Briefing Screen and then after pressing "OK" to start the Scenario the screen doesn't fully load and my mouse starts leaving trailing green arrows all over the screen. Windows Vista Home Premium Intel Pentium Dual Core T-2330 1.6 GHz Intel Graphi Media Accelerator 1GB DDR Any suggestions? CMAK runs fine on this machine and I really want to try Shockforce without buying another computer. Thanks
YankeeDog
I'm really not sure that system is going to be able to handle CMSF; it's specifically the fact that you don't have a graphics card with dedicated VRAM that's probably the issue. Even if CMSF will technically run on the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (and I'm not sure that it will), the fact that you have only 1 GB system memory may also be an issue -- while the "Reccommended" amount of sys. memory for the game is 1GB, this is for a Win XP system that includes a vid card with dedicated graphic memory. With your computer, this 1gb has to (a) run the more memory-hungry Vista Operating system, ( Run CMSF, and © provide memory to the Graphics Media Accelerator for rendering. This may just be asking too much. The system demands of CMSF are substantially greater than CMAK. Cheers, YD
SgtMuhammed
You might get away with that hardware if you were running XP. The graphics card issue is probably what is doing it.
chanceisbest
Thanks for your help, gentleman. I guess this serves me right for proudly buying the cheapest computer I could find.
hoolaman
I have the same processor and memory (XP though), and a very cheap nvidia card, and I get decent performance . Just buy a cheap $50 GFX card and stick it in, no need to buy a new PC.
