JohnS
I have been out of town and tied up a lot since the first of the year. Shortly after Xmas I placed the following note on this forum and received no reply or assistance: "My wife ordered the Deluxe Edition with disk, mouse pad, map etc. Beginning two days ago, I installed but when I get to the "Play" button I hit the button and nothing happens. I have updated all drivers. I uninstalled and reinstalled. I downloaded the 1.05 patch and installed it. Consistent problem is that I get the screen offering, among other things, "Play" and when I hit that button, no result. Note - I have never been asked to enter an activation code or similar step even though the game box comes with a license key. Can that be the problem?" I wonder whether anyone at Battlefront can now provide some meaningful assistance. My wife bought the game directly from you and now that I am back in town I really would like to get it up and running.
stikkypixie
There is a licensing step to go through, it should appear sometime during the installation. Did you see this pop-up? Also make sure computer where you want to install the game is connected to the internet.
JohnS
Interesting. Thanks for the tip. I just uninstalled and reinstalled and the screen that you indicate never appeared at all in the installation process. Same result as before when I hit "Play", nothing happens. Now that it is clear what is missing, does anyone know how to fix this? I can return the disk etc. if it is a disk problem, just need the info on where to send it. Also, my wife has given me all the receipt info if someone in charge needs to confirm the purchase.
stikkypixie
Maybe it is best that you mail Battlefront.com. Maybe you should try to install with an administrator account.
redbear
You are runnig vista? If that is the case run the installation as administrator.
JohnS
I had thought that someone from Battlefront Tech Support monitored the posts but perhaps I was wrong. I'll pursue other avenues. My thanks for your assistance.

Madmatt
Sorry I missed this post until now. While we do routinely monitor the forum, we had been busy wrapping up the v1.07 patch this past week. Glad to see you got it all fixed up. If you don't hear from us online via the forums, you should always email us directly because as busy as we get, we always try and reply to emails quickly.
