peleprodigy
It has been awhile since I posted- i recall there being pages and pages of tech support/customer complaint posts on this board. Perhaps my question was answered in one of those threads that have been wiped away as if they never existed. Anyway, the shadows in game seem to flicker quite a bit, and look out of sorts in general. does anyone have any ideas how one would fix this, besides disabling shadows altogether?
thewood
It was asked about somewhere, but was never officially answered.

If I'm not mistaken, this is a well-known problem called "shadow map aliasing", which is associated with the angle of the camera (player's viewpoint) relative to the angle of the light source. You can read all about it here: Shadow Map Aliasing The simplest solution would seem to be to set the time of day of the scenario to some optimum value, such that aliasing is less apparent. I have not done any experiments to determine what this value might be, however. Some technical solutions are also provided in the document above but whether or not any of them are applicable to CM:SF is another matter that only BFC can really answer.
peleprodigy
Well, I am trying to play through the campaign, so i don't think I have the option to set the time. Fix please.
SgtMuhammed
I encountered this especially bad in ThePhantom's Babado battle. As the sun came up certain angles were all but useless.
