Battlefront.com
There was a mistake with our original v1.01 patch, which has now been fixed with the v1.01a patch. If you do not see the "a" at the end of the patch, then read on. If you do, or are able to play the game already, then ignore this post. The original version 1.01 patch that was uploaded on Friday was supposed to install a new Hotkeys.txt file in your Data file. It did not, and that is causing your game to not run when you try loading files. There is a very, very simple fix for this: Open the Hotkeys.txt file in your Data folder. Look for the "Misc Keys" block of hotkeys. To be safe, replace the entire block of Misc Keys with this: Misc Keys <E>- <E>= <G>+ <E>T <E>Y <G>Z <E>{ <E>} <E>`Note this is identical to what you already have EXCEPT that there is one more entry at the bottom: <E>` Without this entry the game will not run. Very stupid to have a big game not run because it lacks 4 little pieces of text, but unfortunately our code is not looking for missing entries, only incorrect entries. We will fix that with the next Combat Mission Patch. Trust me We are uploading a new CM:SF Version 1.01a patch to the Interenet. Therefore, if you downloaded the 1.01a patch the entry should already be there. Thanks and sorry for the mistake!! At least it has an easy solution.
