chanss
its going on around 17 kb/sec. Will take around 30+ hours to complete. I do hope someone from battlefront will look at this. Ridicolous!!
chanss
Its the game download, not the demo download
Moon
as you can see from what others are posting, it's not the servers since the speeds are very good overall. We cannot influence however what's happening downstream. Are you using a download manager? If not you should probably. Martin
chanss
Whats a download manager then?
chanss
Just, tried to download T2CM demo from madminute game site and it is 50+ kb/sec, easy almost 5 times quicker than this site here. So it is your site i believe, ok?
Moon
chanss, there is a little tool you can download and run to see where the bottleneck is. http://winmtr.sf.net Unzip and then run the exe. Enter the following in the host field: battlefront.fileburst.com or 205.234.109.163 Then hit start. It's going to trace the signal and will show you where data is lost or extremely slow. chanss
What should i look for? Loss % or what?
Moon
A high loss% indicates a problem, yes. Very high ping times, too. (listed as best, avg etc.) Martin
Hpt. Lisse
What is your service, chanss? I'm D/Ling TOW from the server at 635 kb/sec steady with a 5 MB Cable connection in Boston, MA. Another great serivce is www.dslreports.com which analyzes your D/L speed & potential problems...
chanss
I just started to download your demo again from the Boomtown site and its going almost at 60 kb/sec, its still my fault that your game download is slow is it? Pherhaps Battlefront could move the game download to Boomtown too? So I could get it before Christmas!
Hpt. Lisse
I'll ask you one more time - what is your connection & service? DSL or Cable? Can you cough up any information so that we can possibly help you?

Hpt. Lisse
Copy that, sorry for the wait. I assume that DSL is the most common broadband in Sweden... what D/L speeds do you get within Europe?

Moon
chanss... there are so many parties involved in a download, and our servers are only at the very beginning of the line. If you have high data loss or bad pings in between, there is nothing we can do. Did you run that tool? What did it show? Feel free to post the results here. If it shows problems on the server side we'll fix it. Martin

Madmatt
Looks like there is a bottleneck at the ninth hop nyk-bb2-pos5-0-0.telia.net , thats about halfway between our server and your connection so its beyond out control to do anything. Moon
yes, it is... looks pretty good, better than mine You should use a download manager with multiple connections. You will get a 500% increase in speed and more. Use Download Express if you want a recommendation, but of course you can try with anything you want. There is a post on top of the Forum from Matt with instructions for three or four of the most common DMs Martin

chanss
No it did not work with Download Express, after 7 hours it said it was ready but when trying to open the file it started to download it again instead, so everything that was done is now gone. I have now unsinstalled that crap again. I am now downloading again without DE.
