The greatest game ever made in the human history!!!

Despite the fact that I dont master english very well, I will try to talk about this marvelous game.

I think ToW the greatest WWII-strategy game ever made by the human hands! It's unbelievable, divine, marvellous, wonderful!

But above all, dont think i dont know about what I talk: I have the all WII strategy-games apperead in the market until now; since Allied General and Panzer General, until Company of Heroes, Blitzkrieg and its all add-on, Codename: Panzers I and II, Sudden Strike, Soldiers: heroes of..., Faces of War, Deserts Rats vs Afrika Korps, D-Day etc. However ToW overtake all of them. Its qualitys exceeded very much our strict expectations. But we need to have a passion for the strategy games to recognize its great gift... It's incridible the means avalaible to the player - above all in the Mission Editor...

About the War God (is like that the russians call the artillery in the WWII)

But my bet is that the artillery has been a little bit neglected in ToW, specially by comparison with the tanks and SPG, plentiful present in the all armys...

Guns and howitzer are however absent. We just have someones; ATT above all... Even the Flak/pak 88 mm - the most famous gun in the WWII - is not there. There are no mortars at all.

We would have so fun if we was able to put in the battlefield the heavy guns like the german K18, 170 mm; the russian B-4, 203 mm on caterpillar, or the ML-20, 152 mm as well... Without to tell about the german superheavy howitzer Karl 600 mm, for exemple. It would be marvellous!

But you have no choice: the BM-13 Katyusha and the Nebelwerfer must be there (and a supply truck too) in the next add-on. There is no excuse to its absence. Since I told about truck, I take the opportunity to talk concerning the ambulance; there is a lonely one in the Wermartch, but it doesn't treat anyone - can it do it? Can we also have another one in each army for treat the woundeds? Or the ambulances would carry some doctors to treat woundeds?

And last but not least: 1C being a russian Company have no right to forget the "battle vessels" T-35 and T-28!!!

This tanks has been a era symbol. They are so impressive! I know they was not so effective than imposing, but we will have so fun to lead them in the battlefield! It shall be magic, like a dream...

Listen to me, I beg you: above all, don't forget the T-35 in the next add-on!

That's it!

Thank you very much!

Some of those things you mention are there...they are just not represented ON THE MAP. Rather, they are simulated by off-board assets that are assigned to the player in the mission variables and are called as needed until they are exhausted.

While I agree the Katyusha and Nebelwerfer would be a fine addition to the OBA (off-board artillery) one needs to be cognizant of the possibility of imbalancing the game. For instance, the 600mm artillery you spoke would easily destroy or seriously injure units over an area of about 1/4 of the map. Keep in mind, the maximum current playable maps are only 2 km x 2 km.

SlapHappy,

It's true, we always can compt on the off-board artillery... But i dont think that is a noble mean to crash the enemy; it's like a magic power, we don't have the guns, we don't need to position the cannons in the battlefield, we don't take risk at all.

The fun is precisely all that. We really enjoy to see the cannos shoot, to supply them, take the risk to lose them...

And about the T-35, what do you think???

Thank you for the reply!

I think Katjuscha and Nebelwerfer would be overkill for the size of engagements we usually have here.

I also think this is not the greatest game ever made in human history. Who knows what will come in the future?

But I agree that T28 and T35 would be nice if somewhat limited additions to the tank park smile.gif .

.. that`s what I say: we need a larger grid than 2x2km. Sneaksie said that it will be available in the future. Unfortunately that can`t be done with the next patch, nevertheless I appreciate the effort very much.

Thats really a very limited list of WWII strategy games you us as your basis. What about steel panthers, CMBO, CMBB and CMAK that's just a few I can think of. Now if you mean WWII RTS then I'll agree with you

That's good, 800 metres! Its a little bit more than 1/4 of map; just enough to shell the trenchs too far away with suppressive fire, like we can do in Blitzkrieg (Nival) and we can also do in ToW with the off-board artillery. I would say the same for the Katyusha and Nebelwerfer. In addition, we would make our soldiers happy with some mortars as well.

However I recognize: I exaggerated with the german superheavy mortar Carl 600 mm - It was just a dream... Anyway, we talk about a game, not about the real life... And 1C-Battlefront has the means to overcome theses obstacles, in view of the fact that to carry off the greatest game in the history!

But the major problem is the absence of the heavy russian tanks T-35 and T-28. It would be magic to have them with its countless turrets...

Thanks for reply!
