on field indirect fire

Is it possible to give artillery and tank units on the field indirect fire orders, if there is another unit that can see the target.

Or can I give artillery unit area fire orders into areas they can't see.

Hi. I'm afraid that on the typical ToW scale indirect fire is unlikely if not downright impossible.

Where are the mortars?

ISTR, they were not in the early version someone from BFC posted an ARR using but thought they were supposed to be in the release version.

there is always the option to select a target area rather then the gun itself.

Incorrect. Mortar screenies date back from way early in WW2:RTS/Wartime command development. They haven't been seen for a while now.

But if you do this the tank, artillary, etc. Wont fire unless it has line of sight to the target. It wont seem to indirect fire.

True, This is where CMBB experience comes into play. To maneuver the tank to have a good enough line of site to land shells close enough to do the job.
