Obviously, sales will be great the first couple of days while your forum regulars are ordering the game, but the true test comes in the next couple weeks. Are the advertising campaigns effective? Did people read the previews at the various online gaming sites? Can you pull gamers away from similar titles? Those are the big questions. Succeeding in the eyes of a forum where loyal fans of the title hang out (like this one!) is a given. Widespread success is another matter. Battlefront is a privately owned company and is not required to report sales anywhere except the IRS, and we take full advantage of that Let's just say that the fact that our order scripts didn't cope with the initial rush (plus another rush this morning European time) bodes quite well.
