Rick
Occasionally, my video freezes for a second or so and any sounds replay until the game starts rolling again. I believe this is video card related because the more graphical stuff going on in a scenario the worse it is. The scary part is it also happens when I am entering my PBEM password. So does this just mean that my video card is a wimp. I don't think it's CPU or RAM, I have a Pentium II 400Mhz and 256 Mb.
Schrullenhaft
Did you do a full install of CM ? You may want to check out your "hard drive light" on your case to see if your pauses match your hard drive activity. This wouldn't be an issue with the PBEM password however. What video card do you have ? Newer drivers or an update to DirectX may help.
Pham911
Also, if you have a PCI sound card that shares system memory, it can cause pausing. I know the ensoniq from creative labs does this big time. Just a thought.
Rick
Pham 911, That's the exact sound card I have. That's probably my problem.
