thewood
I may be completly daft, but how do I load a unit into an APC or IFV. Also, how I determine a vehicles troop capacity?
Zulu
Click on the squad. Give squad a move order. Hover over vehicle and you will see an icon with down arrow (if vehicle can be loaded) Click again.
thewood
Was this in the manual someplace...seems a pretty critical piece of info.
PSY
Originally posted by thewood: Also, how I determine a vehicles troop capacity? If you look at the vehicle silhouette in the unit info panel, you'll see two sets of dots, one on the left, one on the right. The set of dots on the left should be blue and indicate crew members -- if the dots on the left aren't all blue, someone is either KIA or WIA. The set of dots on the right indicate passenger positions. If the dot is green, the passenger position is filled, if its grey, you can put another passenger into the vehicle. (p.43 of Battlefront version of the manual).

thelmia
I don't get the down arrow when I mouse over the APC. I can get the unit to load, but only by repeatedly telling it to move onto the space the APC occupies. Eventually it works. I have the same problem with buildings. It seems like I am missing a cursor. Also, is there a better way to click on units? I can only click on the arrows along the top of the screen, or shift-click-drag. Both are clumsy.
-E
The cursor will not change when the mouse is hovered over any part of the APC, just specific "hot spots" (experimentation should help you on this... if you can't find it by trying pixel by pixel all over the APC, you probably do have valid problem). You can select units by clicking on their hovering icon (if you've left them on).
thewood
I tried loading during a RT game and have to say it cost me the scenario. I spent 5 minutes fiddling around with it. It seems very sensitive and has a certain sequence to it that you have to be careful with.
thelmia
It was an SLI driver issue. I got new forceware and it fixed it. The down arrow now appears exactly as you describe. And I can click on units. This game will now be much more fun.
