BeauCoupDinkyDau
I was playing Links: Championship Ed. and realized how awsome the high-res trees in that game would look in CM! I hunted around for the files, but couldn't find them, but in the process found an excellent replcement for the finish turn "bloop" sound. It was of a guy screaming in pain; very funny. I copied it to my CM folder after renaming it to the "bloop" file's name and popping it in, I then hopped into CM to hear how it sounded. It played at the speed of light. It was so fast, I couldn't understand it. This has happened to me with other sound mods before. I once replaced one of the vechicle machine gun sounds and the new MG sound played so fast, it sounded like static. What gives, and how do I deal with it?
Schrullenhaft
Most sounds in CM are 16-bit, 44.1kHz mono files. The audio files you were trying to play may have been sampled at a lower rate (22kHz or something) and therefore sound fast when CM attempts to play them back.
