Oddball_E8
Im itching to get going on my soundmod... ive got the sounds all lined up and waiting to go... one of the things that kept my interest spiked in the old combat mission series was the moddability... and if the system is still the same (ie. BMP files and WAV files) but in a compressed state, please, please, please let us have some kind of simple modding tool... shouldnt be that hard to program should it? (assuming it is indeed as i thought it was, ie. bmp and wav files in a compressed file)
M1A1TC
Id like to see high-res background mountains, muddy vehicle mods, and of course infantry uniform mods (Iraqi, Russian, Turkish, etc)
Stirling
You can extract textures and sounds using MultiEx Commander. It doesn't give proper folder hierarchy (or even names, for that matter), but you can poke around some before we get the real deal. I was using the shareware version. The registered version might be more useful. I can't be held liable for any damage you do, of course. http://multiex.xentax.com/ [ October 31, 2007, 07:23 PM: Message edited by: Stirling ]
Oddball_E8
well, poking around in the sounds doesnt really help... all i can gain from that is the sample rate and such... wich makes no diff to me since i only convert them to the correct rates just before using them
