Rick
My system melted down a few days ago. I've had it repaired and reinstalled CM. Now the movie won't play, but I hear the soundtrack in the menu screen. Any idea what's wrong?
Schrullenhaft
After your meltdown did you install/reinstall QuickTime ? Also try holding down the Shift key when you launch CM to see if the movie has been disabled (holding it down will re-enable it if this is the case).
Rick
I'll check out both of those.
Rick
Well, the repair guys installed Direct X 7.0 and I tried the holding shift thing, still no movie.
Schrullenhaft
Have you installed QuickTime 4.x ? The movie is a QuickTime movie and if that isn't installed on your system you will not get the video for the movie (the audio track isn't QuickTime based, to my knowledge - so you'll hear it even if QuickTime isn't installed).
Rick
I guess I didn't read your first post closely enough. That should fix it. I'll do it when I have time.

Rick
Well, the Quicktime update didn't help anything.
Rick
Don't worry I figured it out. After reinstalling Quicktime, I needed to reactivate the movie again.
