Holman
Here's a question. I already know that Brads are given extra passenger slots in CMSF so that we don't have to worry about correctly splitting and reforming all the squads in a company. But I notice that M2A3 Bradleys in an infantry platoon have a crew of three and can carry nine passengers, while M2A3 Bradleys in an Engineer platoon have a crew of two and can carry ten passengers. Why this difference?
Battlefront.com
This has to do with the crew SOP. With some vehicles, and it isn't just the Bradleys assigned to Engineers, there is a dismount that does double duty as the Vehicle Commander. So when the unit is mounted the guy is the head cheese, when the unti is dismounted the vehicle does without. The BMPs are defacto like this and certain Strykers also have this behavior.
