V
For scenario ideas? I watched one last night, part of it at least, and the Americans were in a standoff with some Iraqi insurgents. When dawn broke and the insurgents attacked the Americans beat them back, then made a counter attack and won the day... ...And there was much rejoicing... So I am assuming some of our talented scenario designers will pick this show apart for some ideas. I know it's in Syria, but I also know there will be plenty of user made 'Iraq' scenarios. I have not been following the show 'Over There' at all so I don't know if it is any good or not, just caught that part of one episode last night, so please save your flames for someone more deserving if the show is, overall, a pile of poop.

I just flipped to it and saw a lot of shooting and dying, but once the firing and killing had stopped I pretty much lost interest.
Dillweed
I admit its a guilty pleasure. I've watch every episode since NPR gave the piolt a glowing review.
Madmatt
I thought the pilot was trash. Sterotypical and cliched characters with as about as much depth as Mace on acid. From what I hear, it hasn't gotten much better. But then neither has he... Madmatt
stoat
Every now and then I watch the start of an episode, and am quickly reminded of why I didn't watch the last one. A lot of the characters and plot is just hard to believe, and it strays from realism several times an episode.
V
On a similar subject, the movie 'Jarheads' with Jamie Foxx looks intruiging.... http://www.jarheadmovie.com/
Splinty
As someone who has recently spent a year "Over There", I think the show is garbage. It has very little to do whit what it's actually like in Iraq.
