FFE
Are my opponents going to see the quality of my troops? (e.g. Green, Crack, etc...) I'm hoping this is corrected in CMx2 or a total fog of war option, because it's unhistorical to drive by a knocked out T-34 and see that it's a knocked out veteran tank. Are artillery spotting rounds going to use smoke instead of live rounds? Will the the spotting rounds be "free" to use or are they going to count against the load out? My apologizes in advance if these items were already brought up.
Peter Cairns
In some cases the ID on the tank wold have given them some clues, but I agree you should have limits o what you learn from casualties etc. Having said that if the guys put up ahell of a fight you'd kind of guess. Michael Emrys
BFC stated a very long time ago that IDing a unit's experience level was based on its performance in combat. I suppose this could be made more subtle in operation, but I believe that already it is not guaranteed that what the opposing player sees is the exact truth. FFE
I'll keep my fingers crossed that the game doesn't display too much information concerning troop quality.
c3k
FFE, What if the knocked out tank has 20 kill rings? Would that give enough of a clue to the quality of the troops? (Hmmm, or were they fake kill rings?) (Or, were they uber-crack troops, using a fake set of kill rings so you'd think they were conscripts with fake kill rings?) (Or, ...nevermind) Kidding aside, like you, I enjoy extreme fog of war. The less I know, the better. Ken
