Schrullenhaft
Yes it should do fine for that, but you will not have fog effects. ATI video cards on the PC do not support fog-tables to the extent that CM needs. No set of drivers or tweaks has fixed this issue for any of ATI's chips (on the Mac this isn't a problem).
Maximus
Yes Schrullenhaft is correct. Even the new Radeons won't support Fog on PCs. It's an driver problem with DX. ATI cards are good for video in/out. ie video editing hence their All-in-One Wonder card. If you want an all around 3D card for gaming, best go with a Nvidia card such as a Geforce 2 of some sort.
Peter Panzer
thanks fellas, i appreciate the insight... ...after turning up some additional posts regarding the ati's lack of ability to produce fog, i picked up a geforce card, which seems to be delivering fine in terms of cm, but produces an odd "directx ddr generic" error with another title... well, perhaps with a bit more monkeying around i can get everything up to speed. my thanks.
