Schrullenhaft
This should be the resolution selection process that comes up first ('black screen'). I don't know why this process isn't cooperating with the Omega driver. I'm not really familiar with all of the tweaks offered by the Omega driver, so you may want to go back to an official Catalyst driver. 4.9 has worked for some people, while others have had problems. You may want to try 4.8 or earlier, but I suggest completely uninstalling the current Omega driver (system files and registry entries) before installing the Catalyst. Hopefully a change in the video driver should get you through the resolution selection process. If not there may be other issues with your setup. You may have to look at things such as memory timings or possibly other AGP-related CMOS/BIOS settings, etc.
yacinator
Oh crap, I'm getting a 64bit system since my old one is broken. Schrullenhaft u think it's the driver's fault right? I plan to get an X800pro so will I have the same problem too?
Schrullenhaft
Other people have used the AMD 64 CPUs without a problem running the CM series, so I don't think it is an incompatibility with that CPU or the motherboards that support it. He's using an Omega driver, which is a non-official tweaked Catalyst (official) driver that is popular with Radeon users (higher performance typically). You can download them from Omegadrivers.net . The latest version is based on beta Catalyst drivers, so there may be issues. I suspect that if you're using the official Catalyst drivers that you shouldn't have any problems. However there is a good possibility that there is something else going on here with this problem beyond video drivers (software environment, CMOS/BIOS settings, etc.).

Schrullenhaft
Admittedly I don't know much about the 64-bit version of Windows XP. There may be problems, as there often is with beta software. Games are quite likely to suffer incompatibilities, but I don't actually know what CM's compatibility is with WinXP-64.
