Patrocles
CMBB would not run properly on my computer(extremely sluggish frame rate and mouse controls!) and it was most likely due to the Radeon video card. However, after I installed the Service Pack 2 last night for my Windows XP home OS and now CMBB runs smoothly with no problems!

Redwolf
Everytime you touch any device or device driver in Windows, the whole stack of drivers is rebuilt. This is why reinstalling the same driver sometimes fixes things, or taking out a device, boot, shut down, put device back in, boot again. I had the opposite side of it. I had a perfectly stable Win95 and I dared not touch anything about the drivers and it was happily running along. Then I made a mistake: when fiddling with something in the case I took out and put back in my ethernet card. But while I was careful only to boot Windoze when the same card was inside, I had put it into a different PCI slot. This triggered a full rebuilding of the driver stack and something else broke.
