yurch
I'm constantly missing what people are saying over gunfire, engine noises and other nonsense. I'm not willing to make sound any louder because some noises (like getting hit by 20mm while in aim mode) are downright uncomfortable that way. I wear headphones. I cannot find a setting for voice volume, or any volume for that matter inside dropteam. I hereby request a (relative?) voice volume control and an option that turns down other sounds while someone is speaking. Many games already have the latter. ClaytoniousRex
In the upcoming 1.1.0 release, microphone chat volume is finally normalized so it should be *much* easier to hear most players than it used to be in general. However, attenuating "other sounds" during chat is still a good idea so we'll add a slider for that after 1.1.0.
ClaytoniousRex
How has this been for everyone lately in 1.1.2? Did the normalization seem to help in general?
yurch
I've still have problems understanding people, especially during fighting or in aim mode (engine noise). Others have said the same about me. Typically I have to type if I really want to be clear about something. I could definitely use the attenuation slider. Alexander SquidLord Williams
We probably need sliders for a wider variety of volumes than just attenuation. Music, Voice, Firing, Impact, Engine, probably covers the gamut. Possibly "Bot" as well, just to seperate "I'm defending!" from the rest of the voice, but not necessarily as low as other things. poesel
I too can't hear people very good. Everyone sounds like speaking from the grave. Another thing: I'm not a native english speaker and it would surely help (not only me) if everyone would speak a little slower and clearer.
