yllamana
What's with the download speed? I've been downloading for four hours and it lists nine remaining, with the speed steadily dropping. It's still going, but incredibly slowly. My net seems to be working fine otherwise (Melbourne, Australia).
Moon
Hi! I just tried it and am getting 200 kb/s steady (Germany, Europe). The problem might be downstream somewhere? Martin

My first try last night canceled with "POSIX error, connection reset by peer" at around 500MB. At the moment it's saying 12:43 remaining, and I just slept while it downloaded, so it's been going for a while. It does seem a bit concerning, though. I just tried downloading something from another site and it was happily going over 60k/sec, which isn't blazing fast but is a lot faster than 9.1k/sec (actually I think it might have stopped entirely again and just isn't telling me about it this time). I do understand that this isn't necessarily a problem on my end *or* the download server, but possibly somewhere in between, but that knowledge isn't getting it downloaded faster. UPDATE: third time lucky, the download chugged across the finish line a short time ago and appears to be fine. Paul Snively
I'm also experiencing very slow downloads--about 50K/s. This is very frustrating when you're trying to download a 609MB file!

Paul Snively
Is there somewhere where those of us who purchased the download option can download the manual? I have a sneaking suspicion that docs would make the game even more enjoyable.
Monkwarrior
Well, the manual should be within your downloaded version. It's a PDF file and reveals much more about this game. Very, very usefull.
Moon
Hi guys, I just downloaded it myself to test speeds, and using DAP with 5 concurrent connections, I got a whopping 800 kb/s... I guess I cannot stress enough how much difference using download managers/accelerators like DAP and GetRight is improving download speeds as it allows you multiple downstream connections. Paul Snively
Hmmm. No manual appears to have been installed by the installer. Was it simply included in the archive that I downloaded? If so, I foolishly threw it away without even realizing it. Is there any way I could convince some kind soul just to send me the manual?
yllamana
The manual is in the DropTeamSetup that you downloaded (DropTeamManual.pdf). Maybe the installer could be changed a bit, because yeah, I didn't find it for a while either as it doesn't get installed into the DropTeam folder like the public test manual was. I'm sure someone else will have trouble finding it in future, and it'd be great if it could be fixed up for them. Also, my download speed was around 9k/sec; I would have been fine with 60. Possibly just a transient net problem though, so let's hope nobody else has trouble with it. Sounds like nobody else is having big problems with it - I don't think a few hours to download is unreasonable, just at crazy times like 15 hours there's a lot of potential for it to be interrupted by whatever connection difficulties, power failures, kids eating the modem, etc. that people can run into.
