grover
I have had a look at tanksim.com and searched here, but does anyone know of any noob reference guids to learning the art of tank simming? Tactics, weapons etc? Cheers

grover
Thanks Hub. What do you mean by hull-down?
rune
Hull down means the hull cannot be shot, as the surrounding terrain is blocking it, but the turret is above the blocking terrain and can still turn and fire. the reason you want this, it you are now a much smaller target, the hull cannot be hit, only the turret can. using the natural terrain or digging a berm in front of you to hide the hull are both common ways of going hull down. MikeyD
"What do you mean by hull-down?" Ouch! its good to be reminded that info we think of as second-nature actually had to be acquired at some point. As for my own knowledge of basic tank tactics, I know what I know. What'll kill me off in this game is going to be the stuff that I don't even know that I don't know!
